Hi I'm a novice going spare here. It goes like this (on Cubase Studio 4): 1. I select add new instrument track. 2. The Add Instrument Track window opens. 3. I click through 'VST Presets', 'Steinberg Media Technologies', 'Halion One', then any of 'GM content' 'GM drum content' or 'Studio Set'... 4. And then no instruments are listed to choose from - the boxes remain empty. I can see by looking at the program folders/files that the instruments should be there. Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? Thanks, Ol |

Does anything happen when you hit F11? Do you get the window to select what VSTi you want to use? That's how SX3 works but I'm not up on 4.

Depending on where you installed Cubase, the top level folders may be different: For example, if you installed Cubase at the top level c:\ Then the c:\cubase\vst3 presets\Steibberg Media Technologies\HalionOne\Essential set\ should have a bunch of .preset files in it. I do not know if these are the actual vst3 files, but it does contain the list of the HalionOne instruments in the essential set. Thus, if these are missing, then that is why they do not show up under the presets dropdown. |
