What is your interface? It depens on what you have and what you're monitoring through. What you are probably hearing in your phones is the direct of the interface without it going through the computer, so you're not hearing anything from that track
No effects on mic when recording
I just bought the new IMac 3.4 ghz 8gig ram and upgraded to Cubase 6.5. I was trying to finish up a project and add one last backup vocal track. I have tried everything I know but still cannot get reverb back thru in my headphones while recording. Never had any problems with Cubase 5 on Windows XP. Any suggestions??

I am using the Steinberg MR816CSX interface. Direct monitering is on and I have spent about 3 hours pouring thru the manuals checking settings to no avail.
