Default newbie needs help

Hey, I just got Cubase sx3 and cant figure out how to connect my firepod. Im sure its an easy answer. Its as if my computer won't even recognize it. Thanks for the help.

Download newest drivers. Install them.

Cubase devices/device setup then in VSTaudio choose the ASIO driver for your interface.

Check devices/VSTconnections and make sure inputs and outputs are assigned to your interface.

Or set them if they're not.

Set the input/output of a track and it should work.

Ok so i have it all down to just needing the firepod driver and it turns out they dont make it anymore and i dont have the disc. does anyone know how to go about getting it?. Thanks again fot the help.

Have you checked the manufacturer's website? Many discontinued items still are supported by manufacturers. If you don't see it on the site google it or email the manufacturer and see if they will send it to you via file download or an actual disc.

Ok im having problems recording several mics at once. UNless I make a steareo track but then it pans them.

yes I am using a firepod. ok so I fugured out how to pan them all center. but how do you record each mic on a different track? Also I am trying to figure out how to record and listen to prerecorded tracks at the same time. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
