Hit F4 and make sure you have a mono input channel for each input ou plan to record through the fp-10. Then open a new mono track for each input you want to record. On each track near the top of the inpsector window is a title which tells you what channel it is receiving.. This is a menu. Select the proper input channel fro each track. Hook up the mics to the corresponding input jacks of the fp-10. Click on teh monitor for each track and start banging on drums. Set levels on each track for a good strong signal that doesn't clip. Arm each track for recording and hit record..Away you go.

PS There is no way to idiot proof recording. That's a fact.
