new to CubaseSX3

ok, here is #1 problem. I'm software illiterate. Problem #2, I 'm running a Line 6 Podxt live into my computer. I'm usiing Cubase SX3, SB Live! 24 bit sound cardand my Pod. I here the Pod from the headfones, but that's it. I'm getting no other sounds. I get no meter readings on Cubase when I play. I can't even hear the playback. I need a Cubase Guide for Dummies. If you have one or any tips on how I may start recording my guitar with Cubase, please let me know, I don't have much hair left

yep and I get nothing.

Hmmm... is your sound card input selected for that channel?



If you open the Devices > Device setup menu does your sound card show as active?

I think so but mine looks different.

Well at least you are literate (in the conventional "can read" kind of way) so that means the software problem is temporary.

I need a Cubase Guide for Dummies.

There is a Getting Started guide included with Cubase SX3. It's a pdf found in one of the menus.

Try pressing F4. Make sure you have your ins and outs set correctly.
