midi track records over audio track

when recording audio parts with midi tracks playing the midi tracks record on the audio track.i am using cubase sx 2.2. driver asio direct x full duplex .
os xp pro. soundblaster audigy platinum ex soundcard

There is a record enable button for each track. Disable it for the audio track when you record your MIDI track.

This is a track source problem, if your trying to record guitar/vox whatever and it's set to record everything (loopback, mixdown etc.) you need to switch the track source to record your hardware input.
