Default Midi Sequencing with no controller

So i wannt to sequence some drum tracks in cubase without using a midicontroller like a key board or drum pad. Does anyone know how to use a midi drum map or something so i can just sequence drums using my mouse.

At some point, you really have to crack open the manual. This would be a good time.

Most versions of Cubase (I think possibly excluding LE) have a drum editor. This is where the drum map comes into play. You set up the drum map so that each pitch played by your source drums has a meaningful name. The standard GM drum map will work for many drum machines/VI's.

I agree with Richiebee. This forum is here to help music dudes/chicks in anyway we can, but you got to at least read the Getting Started manual first.

I've read the manual to LE4 about 4 times and am no wiser just can't grasp midi at all have resorted to recording my drum machines & synth via audio. How for instance would `i hook up a Roland synth to a Saffire interface & be able to play & edit it in Cubase LE4
