Default M-Audio Fast Track "swallowing" all sound but the input instrument

Hi everyone,

I'm having a bit of an issue with my USB Audio Interface M-Audio Fast Track in Cubase.
I was trying to record some bass in Cubase and it worked pretty well. The signal was received when I changed from "Asio Multimedia Driver" to "M-Audio Fast Track" in the Device Setup. However, even though I could now perfectly record the bass (and listen to it), all other computer sound seems to be blocked, from the click in Cubase to other audio files on my computer.

Does anyone have a suggestion what could be done to fix this?

Thanks
/Daniel

Have you selected the M-Audio Fast Track as the default soundcard in Windows?

Now I have, and it works

It won't play more than two different things at the time. If I have plugged in my bass and play it in Cubase, I am able to hear both pass and, for example, a track I've loaded, but I won't be able to quickly switch over to play an mp3. But that isn't really necessary anyway.

Thanks!
/Daniel
