hi guys
I'm busy using Cubase Le 4 at the moment. When I go into the Sample Editor and process( select "Silence" ) audio, my computer freezes and I get an error saying theirs something wrong? I recently bought a new computer the specs are: Core 2 Duo 3Ghz processor, 2 gigs ram, 250 gig hardrive and my Motherboard is a Intel Buffalo Creek. Does anyone know what the problem could be as I think my Computer specs are good enough? Thanx alot |

I'm assuming you are using Vista. I'd assume that this is problem. Search here on the Cubase forum. There is a Vista fix for Cubase LE4 that should help.
In the mean time, you can avoid using the "insert silence" feature by simply cutting the audio out on the main screen with all the tracks. This is what I do anyway. Brandon

Hmm. Well, I'm positive that I've heard of this bug before. So you are not alone.
This kind of problem is definitely within Cubase. Have you looked for any updates/patches? Brandon

Brandon is correct. This is a known bug in the first release of Cubase LE4 which was the first Vista compatible version of LE. So even though you are running XP you need to install this fix. It cures a bunch of weird problems, most of which surface during editing functions.
You want this: Cubase LE 4.1.2.851 update PC Windows which is found at w w w.steinberg.net/index.php?id=880&L=1 (I hope you appreciate that I spent 15 minutes without success trying to get a hot link on here that wasn't translated into something else. You'll need to fix the www thing.) Last edited by Electriclight : 07-24-2008 at 02:40 PM. |
