hi guys nice to meet you, i have a very annoying little problemo to deal with, whats happenning is that i have been working in a project for a while now, with every note in the key editor matching up with a line on the grid,
(which i pencil in, no keyboard or latency issue) but for some reason now the notes do not line up with the grid no matter what project setup or stretching used, when in bars n beats, i see an odd pattern in the grid , which i have never seen before, it is also a global problem in every project i have, i have tried reinstalling cubase to no avail, the music still plays back the same as it should ,just that nothing lines up on the grid anymore ,i hope that someone can understand the problem i am describing, i would appreciate any help with this, thanks in advance |

in the bars n beats ,when strtched out to the right amount all the notes lined up, but then i tried changing setups again to see what the hell is causing this and now i cant get it back, no matter how far i stretch the grid with bars n beats, the grid stays the same, when just a minute ago it was working , bit of a bloody nuisance, thanks for the support |

yeah, seems pretty painful.
Try this. Turn snap off, select an even and cut it where you know it is on the beat. Turn snap on, then move that event to the quantise. So where you made the cut (which for example should be on the beat) is now on the beat. Does this make sense? If this matches up you should be able to do this globally with one cut and move. Be careful stretching things unless you know you can get them back to exactly where they were. Stretching files may end up making things more confusing when it is probably a really simple fix. Cheers |
