Default Installing all the plugins in the external hard disk?

I have a laptop with a 160GB Hard disk and an external hard disk 500GB. Shall I install cubase and all the plug ins and the vst instruments in the external hard disk? Since, some of the plug ins are 30GB the internal Hard disk is going to be full up.

Plugins should NEVER be 30Gb.

Sample libraries might be. If that's what you're talking about then you can usually specify a different location for your samples than the application that runs them.

The plugins themselves and Cubase should be on your system drive.

That means I can install cubase and all the plugins on my system drive and the libraries on the external drive? Should it work without problem?

Yes, they're usually designed to work that way.

Wow. By the time this happens, the teleporter technology should be complete.
