Default insert in Cubase SX3

Hi you all,

I've been making music with computers for a while (Atari with Steinberg pro-24...........) and am currently using fwing setup.

Pentium dual 2800, 2 gb int., Motu 828-Mk1, Cubase SX3 (cracked), various plugins, including Guitar Rig 3.

Recording audio works perfectly just one thing, when I record my bassguitar I use Gutar rig as an insert on the audio channel strip. I can hear it's effect, but Cubase only records the dry sound. What am I missing here?

It cannot be a soundcard issue, the Motu works perfectly with Cubase, I've record 8 tracks sim. no probloems. And Guitar rig has no routing options.
Where do i go from here??

Thanks for any reply,

Deaf

That's how it works, when you playback the sound don't you put it through the same insert again? That way you can change the effect later if you want.

If you want to turn it into a wav with fx fixed on it, export it back into cubase or solo it and record your master (loopback) input.

hi tacman,

When I playback I switch the insert off. Sometimes it's a bit annoying that Cubase
is "over non-destructive". Because I want to record the sound WITH FX (bass amp sim)
I'll just have to solo the channel and export it as a new wav-file.

Thnks for your reply, thnk this settles it.

You think you have a right to criticize something you didn't even pay for?

You can actually destructively edit in one easy move. See if you can figure it out.

Thanks I have

If I ever make a buck making music I will certainly buy it.
Bet you were the best behaving boy in class?
By the way, I think it is a great program. This was a minor issue.
