Im new,need help cubase le with e-mu 0404

Thank you reading my subject.I m musician play keyboard pa2x pro.Ihave sound card e-mu 0404 usb and cubase le with totarials.my pc windows xp.Main prolem when ı start record,it makes sometimes creaking sound also when i import mp3,plays same.Im from Türkey,ı have not veri good english.as ı understand tried different ways.What ı want,to record playing keyboard and sing on it.it is difficult by midi.I connected 2 mono cable from out R L,to E-MU in A-B.From E-MU by usb cable to pc.is that right?on cubase before record i listen very well sound.whats the problem can you help me?Thanks alot...

Well you can't record vocals with midi, but you can record your keyboard midi then send it back to the keyboard to hear it. How do you hear the keyboard, through computer?
You would have to hook the keyboard audio output to the 0404 audio input to hear keyboard through computer.

I think you only have two inputs so you would record your keyboard then plug in the mic and record the vocal.

You might back off the latency to avoid crackles. Devices/device setup/ VSTaudio is where you choose your ASIO emu driver then click control panel and change the latency. Try different numbers till you get something that works. Try 8 or below.
