Default How to listen to live signal while recording on CubaseSX??

Hi guys,

Please forgive my ignorance. I'm feel that the solution to my problem is very simple, I just can't find it.
I have Cubase SX and I'm successfully recording voice. The signal is good and I can re-play right after recording. But I was wondering how can I hear whatever it is (voice) that I'm recording while recording it?

I'm recording a friend of mine and I would like to listen the audio signal live while recording it, you know, monitor it to spot volume issues, out of tunes, etc...
There must be a checkbox somewhere or something to activate this?
Thank you so much for your help!!

David

There are two ways of doing it. Latency free through your sound card/audio interface using Direct Monitoring, or through Cubase with latency. In cubase its an icon on the audio channel strip - a white circle with a speaker in the centre.

Refer to the instructions for your sound card/audio interface if you wish to go that route.
