It's late and I am tired. Pretty new to Cubase LE. Just been playing around with it for a few days. How do you actually use the installed VST Instruments? I select the HALionOne option and can add a track. If I pick Rock Drums for example how do you actually insert the drums into the mix? It shows the track listed but I just don't understand how you actually record the VST Instrument drums. Sorry for what may be a newbie question. I am also going to try Sequel 2. Cubase LE came with my Zoom H4 but may be more than I need. Thanks, Chris |

I'll try to help you... Once you add the VST instrument track, go to the top and select the pencil icon. Draw in what measures you want to start with (you can change the size and copy and paste later as needed). That will give you an empty looking track. Double click on it and it will open up the key editor (I that is what it is called). From there click the notes that you want. I hope you can understand that. It was annoying for me the first time I tried to figure it out too. Let me know if you need anymore help with selecting the instrument.

Not that I know of. At least you have a keyboard, my last song I did with mouse clicks. That will be the last time because now I have EZ drummer.

well i just select an instrument, create a midi track and assign it to my controller and the output is the VST, so on that channel will be recorded the drums (in this case, ezdrummer as well) and them, when i'm done with it i frozen it or create a audio file from that midi, pretty much the easy way, hope it helps you...regards.

I'm having the same problem. I bought a korg microkontroller and can't get cubase le to recognize it, can't get any sound out of it, etc. does cubase le support controllers? any help here would be great...completely lost. |
