Default How do I change tempo?

I do this all the time with Reaper & Pro Tools. I record a project at say 90 BPM and then later decide that I like it better at say 95 BPM. For Reaper or PT it is a simple adjustment to the tempo map and a few other clicks here and there. I got a copy of Cubase 5 for the school last and started importing some of my wav and midi files from old projects. They import fine but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to change the tempo? Is this just something that Cubase doesn't do or am I just missing something? Another thing I do all the time is extract a stereo wav from a CD and then change the tempo for various teaching strategies. Can't figure that one out either. HELP!

MIDI files should automatically change to the project tempo. You can use a tempo track to change tempos within a song. Wav files will not automatically change tempo unless you activate "music mode" in the sample editor.

Here is what it is doing. I import a file that was recorded at 90 BPM. I first create a project and set the tempo to 90. I then import the audio file. I make sure the Note is on and I set the tempo map to 95. The file stretches out farther and the tempo doesn't change at all even though the musical note is ON? What am I doing wrong?

Set up the project to 95 and then import your files.

No effect at all. It acts as though it is set to time and not beats and bars. Also if compared to PT as though the tracks are sample based instead of tick based.

Can't say I understood any of that...

Are you changing the PROJECT tempo or the Tempo map?
