How can I assign certain effects to my voyager?

I'd like to use my voyager as a midi controller and use the knobs on it to record effects animations. Like volumel/filters or pans etc.. How can I assign the functions to certain knobs on my voyager? Or can I? And what mode must cubase be in to have these "knnob turnings" recorded. I've looked at youtube and nothing. Could someone release me this info? YOu guys are the best. When I record a midi track while playing my synths and say, pitch bend or use the mod wheel these changes are recorded as midi info, so whatever that means.

Did you check the Cubase manual? I'm not exactly sure either.
