Smile hi im just new here, i need help in setting up tempo...

im new to this environment. im using cubase sx3 and have ez drummer as plugin.

i am wondering how is it possible to set different tempos for my drum beats at different parts in the song without having the whole song move to the tempo. eg. i want my drum beats in the verses a little slower then suddenly speeds up in the choruses then slower again in the bridges.

and also is it possible to change tempo for wave file, ive recorded a guitar riff and when i put it in cubase via drag and drop it sounded like chipmunkz.

thank you so much for your posts by reading thru this forum im able to grasp something.

and one more thing is it possible cubase with reason 4? how?

thanks a lot!!!

How did you record the guitar? With what software? Some programs include tempo info with the wav. file. These "acidized" files are recognized by Cubase and will be converted to match the beat of the project.

I'd check out the the "Time Stretching" feature in Cubase.

It's possible but there will always be artifacts from this process.

Look up Rewire in the manual. That'll get you where you need to be.
