HI
can anyone please help me. Im still quite new to Cubase SX3 after being a Logic user (on PC) for a long time. heres what Im trying to do: On logic if I opened the mixer and wanted to for e.g. bring down the volumes of four tracks of vocals at the same time, and keep them in the same ratio....I just clicked and dragge over the faders in question..they were then selected and I could just grab one fader and they would ALL move at the same time. Can anyone tell me how to do this in Cubase? many thanks Selsong |

I'm in the middle of my first 2 Cubase SX3 projects, so I'm not exactly a master of SX3 either.
It sounds like you want to create a group track.
Now all your vocals go to one fader. That fader is just another channel so you can pan, compress, add effects to all 4 vocal tracks at once. I sometimes like to compress the vocal buss just a little bit even after more aggressively compressing the individual vocal tracks. I hope this helps. Brandon

No problem dude. That's why we are here.
The group tracks are really handy for this sort of thing. One fader for an entire drumkit is a big deal to me, but being able to process everything is an even bigger deal. The group tracks do use a tad bit of CPU power. If you are low in juice, I wouldn't recommend tracking with them on (unless you want to crank up your latency) which isn't a good idea if you are tracking. Brandon

F1 will help you more than I can but shift/select the tracks, right click and choose 'link channels". It's poorly implemented in Steinberg but you can't have everything,....
