Default Help with Cubase LE4

Hi everyone , Im new here and gee i hope you can help me, I have just purchased a Zoom H4 and it came with cubase Le4.

I recorded in stereo a track of my son playing guitar, the track was imported fine to cubase however it plays oh so slow ,

is it my sound card? it is a realtek AC97 Audio.

Or is there a setting I cant find in the manual.

Ck the transport and see if a tempo/beat is selected there. If it is, turn it off. This is the only thing I can think of that might affect speed.

Page 119 of the manual. You need to take it out of "Musical Mode." In musical mode Cubase tries to adjust any imported files to the existing tempo of the project. So unless you know the exact tempo of the file and set up the project to that tempo before you import, it will never sound right. This is a new feature in Cubase LE4 and it threw me for a loop (no pun intended) until I figured it out.
