Default Guitar Problems

I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction with this one. I am using a Gibson SG through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, mic'd up through an SM57 into a Dynacord desk. Coming out of the desk into a SoundBlaster X-Fi card and finally into Cubase SX on an XP Pro platform.

Everything works fine, the guitar sound is spot on all except for little cliks being heard now and again on the guitar track on playback. It is almost as if it were peaking , but not so, it even does it at the lower volumes.

Any ideas anyone? I have put a Strat and a Tele through and they also have the nasty audible clicks.

It's possible your SoundBlaster and Cubase SX aren't playing nice together.

You may need to check your buffers in Cubase.

IMO, your sound card is struggling to process the audio data fast enough. Make sure that you are using ASIO and change your buffer settings accordingly.
