Thumbs down Guitar is delayed? Can't figure out how to get GR5 working? :s

    Hey dudes.

So I want to get Cubase working with Guitar Rig so that I can record how I've always wanted to.

My first issue is, the guitar has a slight delay for some reason. I have a Scarlett 2i2 interface which works great with Guitar Rig 5 standalone but I just can't seem to grasp why I have a slight delay.

I can provide as many screenshots as you guys need, whatever it takes to get this thing working.

    Here's "Device Setup"

3: (The control panel option on the 2nd screenshot) http://i.imgur.com/58CrU.jpg
4: I'm using mono tracks and just trying to hear the clean input of the guitar itself, no effects whatsoever and it's delayed.. weird.

    What do you think guys?

Thanks for each reply I get!

After this, I want to know how to get Guitar Rig 5 working as a VST in Cubase and to make sure I don't have a delay when I try to monitor it? I need to know where to put what file, I'm super new so bare with me.

I fixed the delay issue by switching the ASIO Duplex Driver to "Focusrite 2i2 2.0" something or other. I've put the Guitar Rig 5.dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\Vstplugins and gone to Cubase and hit update in plug-in information and only Guitar Rig 4 will show up (I have that there too) not GR5. Help?

Are you running a 64-bit Cubase install? If so, you'll need to put it in the Program Files / Steinberg ....etc. (No "x86").

If you are running 32-bit, I'd try moving the .dll to a folder within the VSTplugins folder and totally restarting Cubase. This is a good way to kick it in the butt, although that shouldn't necessarily be needed.

I fixed that by reinstalling guitar rig and pointing the VSTs to go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\Vstplugins directly.

Now I have run into another issue. My guitar input is gone, and in device setup my input and output latency are question marks. I've tried switching to another driver and back and it doesn't do anything. I have such bad luck :|

    You're using the focusrite driver?

make a new bus in VST connections on the device menu.

There should be a port available if it isn't being used in a bus already.

If it is being used you should be able to set that bus as the input and it should work.

It's already setup. Sometimes when I launch cubase it works fine, but then at other times it doesn't and just shows latency as "???" and I try restarting and it doesn't help.. I'll try restarting my computer to see if that helps. >_<

Sounds like the interface might not load its driver correctly every time.

I've had problems like that, seems like it has some software conflict possibly, causing driver instability.

    Hard to troubleshoot.
