Getting Yamaha's DT xpress sound in cubase

I have connected my Yamaha DT xpress IV (midi out) with my sound card (midi in), trying to record in cubase. The problem is that I don’t hear the sound of the drums but the sound of midi out (in cubase, e.g. Microsoft GS (piano).What am I supposed to do? Do I need any drivers? What should I put in midi out in cubase SX3?

If you were to hear drums, it would also be from MIDI out because you can't hear MIDI. MIDI is only data.

It appears that you are trigger the wrong MIDI synth/sampler. You want to be triggering drums and you are triggering the Microsoft Wavetable thingy. This is caused by not setting the output from your MIDI track correctly.
