Exclamation Ez drummer+ Emu0404 = Hate
Hey


So i just got that new interface (the emu 0404 usb 2.0) which was working great till i open a project with ezdrummer in it.

As soon as ezdrummer started to load, everything started to lag. Whenever i play the track, it doesn't work well and such. And as soon as i turn off the interface, everything comes back to normal. the track plays fine and ezdrummer is loading normally.

Also, the interface is working well when im not using Ez-drummer.


Plz help?



PS: oh and of course, the reason why I posted in the Cubase section is because im using Cubase!

Does the same thing happen when you are using other midi instruments? Check the audio settings in cubase to see how your sound card is handling midi.

What computer are you using and with how much RAM? What does the CPU/ASIO usage meter look like?

I have both the emu 404 and Ez drummer and am not having a problem so far.

And my computer is about the same as yours, so its definetely not the problem!

But i'm starting to think that it's something about i "program" the in and the out.

I think mine is the emu 404 - it is basically a midi to USB cable with a little "capsule" in the middle that has LED's that indicate midi data activity. Is that what you have?

What is your latency set on your emu 404? What is the Cubase CPU meter doing when you fire up EZ Drummer? How much RAM are you using with EZ Drummer? What if you switch to the stock soundcard and then fire up EZ Drummer? Does the Cubase CPU meter fly up then?

No, it works fine. I can record as many tracks as I want while the midi track plays. And it's the same thing with the interface when ez drummer is off.
