Default Exporting Drums/VSTs to Stereo

Is it possible to export VST instruments in stereo?

I have Cubase LE4 and I when I export the drums they are always in mono (even if stereo is specified during export).

I just purchased EZDrummer and so far I've had the same result.

This makes recording drums tedious when you have to solo each drum and pan them accordingly.

Everything I export is stereo.

Like if I have a VSTi panned left and export the mix it will still be on the left.

But if I export just one instrument it will not be panned it will be both channels evenly, but it will be stereo. I did that last night I exported a VSTi back into the project but I noticed after I did it that it was panned left but the file I got was even.

You're saying you get a mono track or a stereo track with the same information in both tracks?

tacman7,

Thanks for the reply.

I want to export a VST to a Stereo file that has the panning intact. During playback the builtin VSTs or in this case EZDrummer plays everything in Stereo with the applicable Pan settings but if I export to stereo I get a stereo track but no panning.

What I'm trying to avoid is having to solo and export each drum so I can apply panning to it. There's got to be a better way than that (I hope).

It may be your VST settings in Cubase. I'm not familiar with it, but check in options or preferances and somewhere it should specify new track settings and how instrument, audio, and midi tracks respond to the editing system. I hope this helps. if not, try it on another DAW just to make sure its not the plug-in or your sound driver that is acting up
