Hi i am new to this forum...... I am working on a track at the mo. It sounds great thru my Tannoy reveal monitors, but i just did an audio mixdown, broadcast wave, 24 bit and it sounda like crap. Bass end sounds totally distorted and there is no clarity in the mid and top frequencies.. when i mixed it all down i checked to make sure the stereo output was under zero but???????? Any ideas People |

i had that same kind of problem before i "left the box" i still record with cubase, but i come out into a mixer and then record another stereo track of the mixer outs to another two tracks in cubase. i know thats no help whatsoever, but just to let you know that others have been there too. |

Are you using a compressor on your master fader? It could be that your computer can't keep up with all the processing it needs to do when it mixes down. Try bouncing in real time. If that doesn't work, try exporting stems, bring them into a new project and mix the stems. It's not something you want to have to do on a permanent basis, but it will tell you if its your computer that's the problem. |

If it is indeed a CPU issue, I think freezing would be worth a try particularly if you are using any VSTi's. Brandon |

Sorry people!!!! i feel like a real twat.... I have realised that i was looking at the wrong line on the stereo output display and was exporting a totaly distorted mix?? So i have sorted that now.... The problem now is that the track sounds great in the monitors and on most small systems..But on Club systems it just isnt working... The bass end was sounding very boomy on the small systems so i brought it down in the mix sounds great now. But on the big systems it had no punch or weight to it.. Any Advice Why cant everyone in the world have my monitors then i would have no problems at all!!! |

i get the whole mix sound good analog, and then record the 2 mix back to a stereo track in cubase alongside the original tracks. and then i export only that stereo track when burning an mp3 or cd or whatever. analog compressors..... mmmm. |

Hmm. You've got some serious issues. Is your operating system clean? Recording Computer Troubleshooting: Is Your Operating System Clean? If it is, I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling the software. Brandon |
