Cool expand/extend track

Not sure if this is a technical issue, but here goes: I have 16 tracks recorded in an older version of Cubase SX (1.3?). Some of these tracks are very short compared to the length of the song, like a harmony or a guitar solo. I would like to export these tracks individually so they can be imported to another DAW for mixing and mastering. However, I would like to preserve the place of these parts, so I don't have to manually put them in place in the new DAW. Is there a way to make the short tracks as long as the other tracks so the import will work with less effort? I guess what I'm after is a way to insert silence from point zero to the beginning of the short track, and then fill in afterwards to the end of the song. I guess the end part isn't really required, since that won't mess up the placement of the short piece.
Any ideas?

Use range tool. Select from far right end the whole way left to the beginnning of the project. Select bounce.

I like to use audio export on the file menu. You have to select what you want to export in the dialog box and like EL said set the markers from the start of the song to the end of your clip.

I do this for collaborations, makes a big file but when you put it in an .ape it's just as small as the clip is. Then easy to place.

Thanks,
I was going to try setting the markers as suggested, but wasn't sure if it would fill in the empty bit without other commands. I never thought about the bounce trick, I guess there's always more than one way to get something done.
Thanks again.
