Default drums with cubase and dfh2

hi i have dfh2 and cubase 3 and its getting a little stressfull now since id really just like to start recording and such, but getting all the drums and everything into cubase is a pain. can anyone help? ive gotten as far as adding and turning on the program into cubase and ive already got my kit made and tuned and everything in dfh2, but i suck at this whole creating drum map thing, anyone give me a specific list of steps how to get all my drums into a map so i can use the drum mouse sequencer? thanks.

Doesn't DFH 2 require a sampler of some kind? If so, what are you using?

You should be able to download drum maps somewhere. I downloaded my drum maps for DFH Superior from the Toontrack website.

Oh, okay. Kompakt is a fine sampler. I use it all the time.

I'm fairly certain that DFH2 works entirely different than DFH Superior so I'm just guessing here. Is DFH2 not GM (general MIDI)?

hmm well i can get sound from it and everything through the program and such but i cant figure out this whole cubase setting the sends and channels right so i can use all the instruments simultaneously, for penciling or sequencing to program a song, and making a map for all the drums.

Is there a manual for it? I'm sure it came with one, so that you can see what pitch all the different sounds are on.

alright thanks everyone for the help by the way very helpful, i feel like im getting close to getting this all sorted out. only problem im having trouble with left, is the drum map stuff i dont know how to get each note to correspond with what drum i have set in dfh2. i know how to move and change names and stuff but what about sorting the drums themselves and when i hit stuff on the pencil seq. only the gm map that comes with the program makes the noise since the drum map is obviously set up right. is it my channels or something? but regardless i no the map is the problem itself lol.

This is all configurable in DFH Superior. I'm not sure about DFH2.
