Did You Know The Mousewheel Moves The Project Cursor?

During a session yesterday, moved the cursor over the position display in the transport panel and, inadvertantly, moved the mousewheel. What do you know, the project cursor moves in synch with the mousewheel! I had always moved the project cursor with the fast foward and rewind transport panel controls (which was too slow and annoying). Best of all, can move seconds or minutes which lets you scoot around the event display back and forth. Was I the only one who didn't know this?

I'll have to check that out, I like learning something new about cubase.

I have a shuttle pro which is a jog wheel thing, I would go nuts without that.

It move measure by measure and goes faster the further you twist it. Works great.

That and buttons.

Only use the mouse once in a while.

Try these too;
The wheel hovered over the zoom cursors.
If your mouse has a side-click wheel, it scrolls left and right.
Hold the wheel click down to grap the mixing pane and move it around.
The wheel acts a a fine-tuning fader control.

I don't really use the transport for anything, but this could be usable.

I hit play/stop with the space bar. I arm a track with the * key in the number pad thingy. I move forward and backward by clicking in the ruler, holding it, and dragging up or down.

I'm anxious to see if this does anything for me. It may!

I tend to look for keyboard options, and FWIW, using the numberpad + and - keys will advance/retract the cursor. By holding the Shift key down at the same time, the speed of the
movement doubles. HTH
