Default Deleting automation

How do you delete penciled in volume automation? On the Edit page every time I highlight it and press delete, it simply shifts it over to the right

When I need to delete automation, I just draw a box around the dots I don't want and hit "delete".

I'm not sure if that's exactly what you are describing or not.

Haha, yup that was it. You have to use the arrow tool instead of the range tool I guess.

Yeah, all of those damn tools get confusing. When in doubt, stick with the standard arrow tool.
