go to device setup>expert>adjust for record latency. and put a number in ms. if your behind the beat put a negative number. around -200 to -300. a good way to get it on beat is to run a metronome with your speakers on and record it in through your mic. then check how late/early the recording is from the original one and adjust in ms in the device panel. good luck.

Ok great thanks very much, i'll give it a shot.

Can you help me with something else? I keep getting error message when I stop recording. and I am having to save under new version every single time.... ?

Have you installed the Cubase LE 4.1.2.851 Update?
