I've tried this and it doesn't not work. Theres no delay when monitored while recording. But when I play back what I recorded. No matter which plug in it is, It records too soon. I use Cubase 5 by the way.

I was having the same problems.. Try adjusting your buffers it seems to have helped my sync problems..I was running at 96 and now I am at 384, but i am not using vst instruments or midi this is just with miced instruments.

i moved to cubase 5. but it was somewhere in the device setup you can set latency. also try adjusting you buffer size. the less the buffer the lets the latency. but make sure you dont put it too low it might start cracking. good luck

I have adjusted latency.. i was at 0 samples? now at 156... wierd because that always worked before! and have ticked lower latency. Also switched from Asio driver to the US22L driver and now seems to work a treat.... again... how wierd!? In 'preferences' though, in 'record', my buffer is set to default at 10000ms surely thats too much but when I reduce it, doesn't seem to make a difference.....?? Really appreciate ya feedback Charlotte |

go to device setup>expert>adjust for record latency. and put a number in ms. if your behind the beat put a negative number. around -200 to -300. a good way to get it on beat is to run a metronome with your speakers on and record it in through your mic. then check how late/early the recording is from the original one and adjust in ms in the device panel. good luck.
