Kind of a strange setup there. I use an 1820m, great interface. Usually you would use project mix by itself because it is the interface. I guess you could use ADAT out of the project mix into the 1820 but that would defeat a lot of the functions of using the firewire port. Cubase can only use one interface at a time. Get the latest drivers for the project mix installed as a first step.
