Hi. I'm using Cubase SX 3 on a AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 4400+ with 1 GB RAM and i'm having the following problem: After some time of having cubase opened, the CPU usage indicator reaches the maximum, but if i check under Windows Task Manager, it is with only 2% usage... ![]() Cubase doesn't seem to be any apparent reason to do this, because it happens without a single midi or audio track in the panel, or any kind of effects. Here's an example of what happens: ![]() As you can see, Cubase CPU indicator is near half, while the Task Manager information is only 1%. The main problem with this, is that when the CPU usage (in cubase) is high, it ads delay to my midi notes in the recording process. The only way to get it right again is to close cubase and sometimes reboot the pc. Any help on this would be great help. Thanks |

A few minutes after i post here (see the times) it was already like this: ![]() As you can see, Cubase says that the CPU is at it's maximum while the task manager says 2% usage... ![]() Bear in mind that i left cubase idling, i didn't do anything with it ! |
