 Cubase SX 3 MIDI Playback Problem
Hello, I'm new with Cubase so I'm gonna ask noobish question... I've been making MIDI sequences with builtin editors until I accidentally changed something while experimenting with settings. Now when I try to play my MIDI composition there is no sound... I have to export it and open with music player. Any ideas??  |

Try looking at the midi output for that channel in the inspector to the left of the tracks. Make sure you have an instrument selected, as well as a patch under that instruments. If you don't and none appears in a drop down menu there, go to the device menu at the top and choose VST instruments. Find your midi synth there.

Press F11, load up a vst. Then click on where it says Microsoft Wavetable Sync on the right hand side in the track settings. A list will appear and the vst you just loaded will be in that list, select it from there. |
