Default Cubase - setting songs to play in specified order

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help.
I sequence musical theatre songs for live performance.
Once one song has finished playing back, I often need to go straight into the next song. Can someone tell me, is there any way of setting the 30 or so songs in an average musical so that when one song has finished I can QUICKLY open the next song and play it. (There is often not enough time in a live situation to hit "stop" on song 1, hit "file", "open", then find the next song, open it, hit "activate" and hit play.) As I record songs mainly using MIDI, I already save the whole song as an audio track, so there is no time wasted whilst the separate vsti's load up.
Any suggestions would be VERY welcome!
Cheers
Paul

You don't say what version your using but you need play order track. You could have the songs laid out in any order and then create the 'play' order you want. Great if you need to change something, easy as drag and drop.

And there is really no reason to use a DAW for a playlist.

Could you explain to me (in very basic terms!) how to do this with Cubase 4?

Cheers

Yes there is...

In musical theatre, there are "vamp" bars - where a bar (or set of bars) is repeated over and over until the actors are ready to continue. One night, it might be repeated 8 times, another night 20 times, so the piece that is played back is not always set in stone. I need to be able to jump to a particular bar at a moments notice - therefore I need to use a DAW.

Cheers

You could just load them all as tracks and toggle mute as needed ??

Believe me, wondering how to do live is a issue with me. I really wish there was better software to fill these needs.
