Cubase, Presonus Firestudio Project no option for firestudio as midi input HELP!!!!
Hi,
I joined this forum for help with one impossible question that I have spent days searching for the answer too.
I have Cubase LE4, with the Presonus Firestudio Project. I have successful set up all for analog recording, works great, the Firestudio is the only soundcard I use.
I have a Roland MC 50 sequencer, with a jv 90 synth and V-Drum TD-12 set. My sequencer runs the JV 90 and the V-drums. I have successfully gotten the midi clock through the Presonus to sync up and can start the record button on Cubase LE4 and have the sequencer start appropriately, however I cannot get my midi information to be received by Cubase.
I am sure my problem is the assignment of my midi recording channel. I can assign the output to the presonus, but I have absolutely no option to assign the Presonus for the input. I have no connection, All Midi and USB. Nothing presonus. I cannot get an input signal. I have tried everything, changing cables etc. I cannot find anywhere within Cubase in all the VST connections etc to assign the Presonus to be recognized as MIDI input
I have double checked broadcast channels everything. So I am sure that the lack of the presonus as the recognized input bus is my problem.
Does ANYONE know how I can solve this problem? My sound business is very heavily reliant on sequencing and the whole purpose I bought this set up was to be able to load my sequences digitally into Cubase and move forward with the digital world.
I am at a loss for what else I can try. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I am running Windows XP, with an 120 gig harddrive for operating system and a terabyte drive for music files, 2000 of Ram. The system has no problems with anything else. Just this one issue.
Thank you!!
