Cubase Meters Delaying

Hey guys,

I have been workign with Cubase LE on Vista for a little while now and it runs really fast and havent had any problems.

I recently upgraded to cubase SX then Cubase 4 and seem to get the same issue on both. LE runs super fast and I know its only a limited version, but it seems like SX1 and 4 seem slower. The audio plays fine but the meters on the levels seem to have a delay from the actual sound.

I havent recorded in any of these new versions yet but am using them for mixing since it was all recorded in LE. Is that why it wasnt originally recorded in SX1 or 4?

Like i said the audio is not delayig its just the meters and the overall program seems to run slower. I know there's more things runnign in the version i bet but is there a way to get this faster and the meters to run without that delay. I looked in the setting for a meter decay setting or someting but havent had nya luck.

I use the default settings in LE and havent had a problem at all.

Try experimenting with latency and buffer settings in Device Setup in Cubase. If you are getting SX1 to work in Vista you should run straight down to the casino. You are a very lucky person.

Yeah Sx1 is working fine except that latency in the playback meters only. Audio seems fine.

I havent recorded in Sx1 but i do all recording in LE. I'll play around with the settings. Thanks!

I have had the best luck with LE so far on Vista so i may just stick with that.
