cubase le4 wont open

Hi Guyz.

Here I come again with a technical problem.

I just formated my hard drive and did a fresh installation for all my softwares. I installed Cubase Le4 and it worked, but I just installed hypersonic on my pc and when I opened cubase again it just flashes and disappear again, I don't know what is the problem with it. I can't do anything with it now because it disappear all the time. Can anyone help me please.

Try this:
Find the Hypersonic .dll. It's probably in the ProgramFiles\Steinberg\VSTPlugins folder. Remove that .dll from the folder and try to open Cubase again. If Cubase opens the file may be corrupted.

Unfortunately it did not work, I even uninstalled Hypersonic from my pc but it still won't work. Do you think that there is a file that might be left behind that was used by Hypersonic? Now I am planing to uninstall both Cubase Le4 and Sx3 because they both affected by this problem. My biggest problem is this; Cubase Le1 is working perfectly with this hypersonic software but its just that I am having limited options on version 1 that's why I wanted a better version of cubase. What do you think I must try now? Please guyz I am stuck.

Have you checked your Windows System Restore to see if you have a restore point prior to loading Hypersonic. If so, you should be able to restore your computer to remove the problem. And, in the future, it's a good idea to create a restore point before loading any major software. Best of luck.

Thanks JJB for the response, i did not create a restore point to my pc as i dont know how to do it. if possible you can help tell me how to do it. i uninstalled my both cubase LE4 and SX3 and also uninstalled hypersonic 1. now i dont know what to install first, because i am also having prolem with hypersonic on its own, when cubase is loading hypersonic tells that the there is no valid license for hypersonic 1. then it tells me to select the right license ofwhich i dont have. i have dowloaded the latest LCC but still hypersonic cannot work with that. what can i do with this problem?

You may need to ask Steinberg for a new licence for Hypersonic since you have essentially a new computer (as far as it knows).

Make sure you have deleted any stored preferences at
C:\Documents and Settings\[User]\Application Data\Steinberg.

I am not sure if that's going to work as I am using the trial version 'try before buy' (H20). Do you think they can give me a new licence for this trial thing? My other problem with this hypersonic is that: if I only install my old version of cubase LE1 this hypersonic works perfectly because the old version of cubase does not use this licence story so hypersonic don't bother asking for the licence, it just work without activating any licence. I will contact steinberg and see if they can help. Thanks again for the response.

I would definitely NOT tell Steinberg you have a H2O version of anything!!!!

But that is 99% your problem. Cracked software is often bad news.

Thanks maan for warning me. This hypersonic thing have a lot of nice soundz but this means I really need to go do some shopping for the real stuff. What vst instruments can you advise me to buy should I get this hypersonic very expensive? Any vst in mind?

Is there anyone knows how to check the Elicenser serial key? I tried to register my cubase LE4 but I had to put my elicenser serial number and I don't know where to find it. I only got few days to use it without registering it, its urgent.

Did you install the eLicensing software? When you do open the control panel and you will an SEL numnber. This is the number you need for activation from MySteinberg. After you enter that number you will be sent the activation code to enter back into the control panel. Make sure to click the activate license button.

My eLicenser was inactive, that's why it didn't work up until the time you reminded me to install the licenser, I reinstalled the eLicenser and it became active then I was able to see the serial number. Thanks a lot qbury I really apreciate your help.
