Cubase le4 and M-AUDIO Key Rig 49

Hi guy's. I have the le4 version of cubase,bought a m-audio key rig 49.
now, when i load up key rig and cubase i can hear the sound from the rig.
i can even add an intrument track an d even see the input on the track.
but can't get no output from my presonus firebox wich say midi out.do i
have to connect the midi output to my speakers to get sound or what?
cubase sees the key rig 49 in the midi input.if i choose the wave synth
from the computer i hear what i recorded without the effects just piano.
i'ts suposed to be a plug in.but don't no if i need or how to set it up.

I don't know what key rig is...a midi controller?

Sounds like a midi problem.

So midi is not sound it needs a sound generator like a sound module, either virtual like a VSTi or hardware like a Motif Rack or a XS keyboard etc.

First hit F11 and select a VSTi to use.
Set your midi track's input to your keyboard and its output to the VSTi you selected and you should hear sound.

m-aidio key rig 49 is a midi controller that comes with a program that can be used in stand alone mode or with a host program kind of like ez drummer.

You want something better than the computer wave synth. Try the Halion sampler that came with LE4. There are many good, free VSTi soft synths available.

i thank you guy's for the come back.i do use the halion synth.but there are some cool effects on the rig that halion doesn't have. i figured it out though
i fixed it with reinstalling the key rig plug in part of the key rig to the right path or file in the vst for cubase.
