cubase LE4 crashing

hey, just got my cubase LE4 going, and everytime i want to put in a fade in or fade out it crashes. it just shuts down then my mac tells me "Cubase quit unexpectedly".

any advice to make this not happen anymore?

I am having a similar problem when trying to process individual tracks with envelope, noise gate etc. Cubase crashes and tells me to resave under a different name and close the program.

Typical general purpose Mac fixes include repairing permissions and deleting preferences. I would think the latter is possibly responsible but do both. If the preferences file is corrupt (and this seems to happen on Macs from time to time in lots of software products) then crashes can be common.

I have some advice. I get the same message when I do try to do several things such as fade out or flip stereo. I called steinberg and they would
not talk to me on the phone. They told me to send an email- which I have done twice- to no avail.

I have a solution - I will get a part-time job flipping burgers, if I have to. Then I will save up enough money to buy the Logic tools software.

I wish I was joking. The hubris of these jerks is incredible. You practically need a degree in computer science just to register the license. Then they wont talk to you if you only paid for LE. The read me first file is unreadable. These guys are arrogant, incompetent, thieves.

Sorry buddy, but if you want good stuff you have to pay good money. That's my plan.

It sounds liek you never installed 4.1.2 patch..get it at www. steinberg.net
