Default Cubase LE VST Instrument Limitation?

I must be missing something here. I believe you can use more than 2 VST instruments at a time on Cubase LE, however when I open Devices/VST instruments (f11) I only have 2 available vst's. Is there some thing I have to do to add addition instruments or am I truely limited?

Do you mean you only have two VSTs showing up on your list, or that there are only two slots available?

I have plenty of vst instruments to choose from but only 2 slots
in the vst instrument window. I am now using a new computer
with Vista and am now running the Steinberg Cubase LE Vista download.
I am pretty sure I have used multiple(more than 2) vst instruments in the past on my old system.

I'm pretty sure Cubase LE only has 2. Cubase LE4 is supposed to open that up quite a bit (if I'm not mistaken).

Must have been thinking about the old Cubasis VST 4.0 days.
I have the "Fast guide to Cubase 4" book....I guess I'd better
invest in the software. Cheers.

If you're using non-steinberg VSTs, there's good odds they are installed into another folder other than steinberg's default VST folder.

I don't remember offhand, but there is a menu where you specify the location of your VSTs. The steingberg folder is there by default, but you can add other locations. I had to do this to get NI's Kore player to work last night.

EDIT: Devices menu, click Plug-in information. There's a button to manage which folders it scans for plugins ("VST 2.x folders" or something like that)

I have all my plugins organized correctly. I learned that lesson early on when installing
Antares and Melodyne.
Just purchased the upgrade and dongle for Cubase E4. I hope that will help.
