So i have an alesis firewire 12 which comes with Cubase LE. The problem is that i only can use 8 inputs simultaneously. Now at the moment I am cash strapped and cannot afford buying the proper Cubase. My other problem is that the band im recording (my band) is a jam band and we really need to record live as most of our songs (if not all) have improv parts.... Drums can be recorded with 7 mics ( samson set ). We record guitar with an sm57, bass DI'ed, and then atm we plan on overdubbing acoustic guitar with our Studio projects C1. Vocals can be put down at the end. So 1st - Wats the best way of recording with 8 simultaneous tracks? Or - Is there a program that is cheaper than cubase which we can use? thanks. |
