cubase LE 4 with zoom guitar pedal

hello, i have just installed cubase LE 4 and i got it working but i dont know how to connect or add my zoom guitar pedal so that i can record with it, how do i add any device which can record with cubase LE 4?

If you have it working, I assume you can record using your audio interface/soundcard. Taking the Zoom G1 or G1X as examples, you can plug your guitar/bass/mike, etc. into the G1's input and use a separate cable to connect the output (the headphone out, which is also a line out) to the input of your audio interface. It should be that simple.

i have to select a device but i cant find the zoom pedal being connected :S

What's telling you to select a device...CuBase? Don't understand, because I just plug my G1X into the left jack (input 1) of my interface, select input 1 in Cubase and start recording.

I think... Cubase is asking you to select the device that's gonna be the SOURCE... Not the device itself... So, if you're not working with a sound card or so, you just might select the audio input of your PC, and, if you are wirking with a soundcard, you have to select that device, and the channel you're willing to record in your Conection menu....

Or, that's what i understand... xP

It sounds like you've loaded Cubase, but haven't completed the initialization step of identifying your interface/soundcard. I'd suggest going back to the manual that came with your interface, and it will walk you through this step.

i dont have the manual anymore.. cudase came with the zoom pedal and i cant find the manual

Call the place where you bought the pedal and ask them how to get a replacement manual. If they can't send you a paper one, they can probably give you a web link where you can download a pdf version.

I'm in exactly the same postion. I recieved a copy of Cubase with my zoom pedal (G2.1u model if that makes any difference) I've connected it up like jjb suggested in the second post, and it can see the guitar, as when i strum, the Audio Activity metre goes up accordingly, but when i try to record, nothing. My problem is that I simply don't know how to get it to record. Obviously, I do press the record button, but it doesn't register anything.

Any help is well appreciated.
