 Cubase LE 4 and Vista
Hi I am running windows vista and i have Cubase LE 4 and I am trying to find a patch to make Cubase run more smoothly. The reason I am after this is because I am trying to use HALion VST and it wont let me load the instrument into the project. I have spoken to the shop i bought it from and they reccommend to apply this patch I have spent the past 2 days searching for it online via google and seem to be getting no where. Help would be appreciated and if anyone could let me know where to find this patch I would appreciate it thanks Natasha  |

Were you not able to find it at Steinberg.net? This is definitely where I would expect it to be. I've heard of other Vista users using it with success, but I'm not sure where they got it. Brandon

| Re: Cubase LE 4 and Vista You want the Cubase LE 4.1.2 update. This update fixed various bugs like the ever-popular "closes itself whenever you try to edit some audio" bug. However, I don't remember that it fixed anything with Halion. But do install this patch and if the Halion is still a problem let us know. I think some other people have here have worked on this. I have installed it but still wont load and instrument into Halion to load into track. Why??? Could there be a problem with Halion itself??? I have tried reading Idiots guide to cubase to use the VST with Halion and I cannot get the program to do what I want it to do even with following the instructions inside the book.

Then, are you able to route the output of your MIDI track to Halion? What about any included synths in Cubase? Do those work? Brandon

Try this thread - we had some problems pointing Halion to it's own presets/patches - this thread might help. Please let us know if it does or doesn't HALionOne plug-in missing
