I am actually running 4.1.3. i originally had problems with it completing processes under the process menu and then i installed the update and it fixed it fine. i don't know what to do i can't understand why in a matter of hours it went from running perfectly fine to not even opening.

I uninstalled cubase rebooted then reinstalled and it worked fine. i then downloaded the latest update and it did the exact same thing so it is the update that is messing it up. it is strange because i updated before and it worked fine after but this time it immediately stopped working.

I just installed the update and cubase stopped working again. i think it has something to do with halion. i dont know what halion is though. i am using the installation disk from a lexicon omega that included cubase le4 and it asks me at the end of the installation of the update to insert my cubase dvd rom to configure halion and i insert it and the disk doesnt contain halion.

Ill try it again with the disk but last time it did not work. i guess i could use it without the update but there are bugs that cause it to crash on certain processes. why do you think that the hotfix worked before? it fixed the bugs and it worked fine for a few days then it stopped working. It might not be Halion messing it up. here is what happens: i begin the install of the update and everything works fine up until it tries to reload Halion. It asks for the disk. i can either put the disk in and it doesnt work or i can choose cancel on the Halion process. when i choose cancel it says the installation cannot be completed and i can try at a later time and cubase doesnt work. if i put the disk in it doesnt work so i have to resort to the same thing. I am really getting frustrated here. i have tried everything on steinberg's website.

Just to be clear: 4.1.2.851 is the update.. 4.1.3 is a hotfix So if you have Cubase LE4 first version, you willneed to upload the . update that fixes the bugs when processing, but not the hotfix. But that's not your problem... When I got my copy of LE4 as an upgrade, I didn't have a DVD on that computer so I copied just the minimum files (No Halion) to a CD and it worked. You might want to try copying the DVD to hard drive and just loading certain files. I have heard of Sychrosoft licensing issues when reloading but you haven't mentioned that. So I'm about out of ideas except to email Lexicon support. |

[QUOTE=I have heard of Sychrosoft licensing issues when reloading but you haven't mentioned that.[/QUOTE] Actually i think that might be the problem. It seems like i had an issue with synchrosoft a couple times trying to load it. how would i go about loading just certain files? and how would i get them off of the disk to save to my computer? |
