    Default Cubase e-License problem

I had installed, registered, activated and run Cubase LE4 successfully recording many recordings with it. My computer (Compaq w/ AMD 3500+ Athlon 64, 1.0 GB ram 200GB HD) was invaded by spyware and some sort of virus. I had to re-load Windows XP and all my programs including Cubase LE4 and Syncrosoft LCC. In order for me to re-activate my Cubase LE4, Steinberg requested a “new Soft-eLicenser number” which I did/ do not have. I browsed the Steinberg Knowledge Base and found a recommendation to remove the LCC software and re-load the latest version. This has not yielded a “new Soft-eLicenser number”. I have now browsed several pages of the Cubase forum and have not had any luck finding anyone with the same problem. THE PROBLEM: Syncrosoft LCC does not generate a “new Soft-eLicenser number” no matter what I do. I have tried erasing system files and folders but the old Soft-eLicenser number continues to re-appear each time I re-load Syncrosoft LCC.
After re-installing e-License software when I launch the LCC I get this error message:

Necessary information for the validity of the Soft-eLicenser have been changed or corrupted. This can be caused by using cleanup and backup tools or similar ones.
Soft-eLicenser 'SeL Nr. 1539830480 - 090C200451' and stored licenses have been disabled. Hardware eLicensers are not affected! Please try to repair the Soft-eLicenser automatically if you have an Internet connection and the vendors permission

Two buttons appear under this message “repair” and “cancel”
If I press “repair” a box appears saying “checking internet connection”
Next a box appears saying “repairing”
    Finally a box appears saying:

You are not allowed to repair your Soft-eLicenser anymore.
The number of repairs could have been exceeded.

I paid good money for this software and I am unable to use it! Can anyone help me?

Have you tried sending a customer support ticket to steinberg?? Really, they are the only ones who can really help.

Check out their Steinberg.net forum. They should be able to solve this one.

Cubase.net ::: View topic - Syncrosoft License Control Center (LCC) updates

Have you seen stuff like this??? I think posting here is your best chance. It seems like there are a lot of steinberg moderators check out things fairly often.

I've tried to join that site a couple of times, only to get a splash page telling me I was a spambot trying to register. Maybe they've seen my work here...?
