Default Cubase AI 4 plugins missing.

Hello people I am an absolute novice. I am so new I am not even in nappies yet.
I installed Cubase AI 4 and for the life of me cant get either the VST instruments to load or any others.
I start a new project lets say I select 16 midi tracks one from the list. I then save it in my Cubase projects folder. Then I am presented with the new project. I then click Project. then add track. then instrument. then a box pops up that says Add InstrumentTrack, in this box it says "count 1 then next to it Instrument, No VST instrument.
I cant find any instruments at all.
I have looked in folders but just cant find them.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Mark

This must be some British thing. I have never heard of a "nappie" before in my life.

They should be located here: C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins

My guess is the location setting in Cubase is wrong. You may need to check the manual to figure out where to set it.

Thanks Brandon. you were almost correct Nappies is Australian for Diapers. I found my hallionone instruments they were hidden in a tutorial file.
This software is the worst I have ever seen for missing objects. It may be good or great at what it does but who ever put the package together needs a kick up the pants. I only bought it last saturday and have not got one beep out of it yet and yes I have read the literature that came with it. I am going to do the tutorials now that I went and bought myself a mic and keyboard. I just wanted to use my Guitar. I will look for the VST stuff now.

Thanks
Mark

OK I found them in C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase AI 4
I cant see any mention in the manual about how to assign a place to the VST plugins.
Any hints on where it would be
OR
How to do it.

Cheers
Mark

The plugins in that file should be useable right there.

If you want to assign ANOTHER VST plugin file go to DEVICES>PLUGIN INFORMATION>VST PLUGINS>VST2xPLUGIN PATHS and then assign a path.

Hi,
The VST instruments should have been loaded when you install Cubase A1. In the project window try clicking on devices then vst instruments. In the box that appears right click in the dark area and you should see the loaded vst instruments.

Regards,
Everton
