Cubase 5 Essential and EZDrummer

I received Cubase LE free with my EMU 0404-usb. So I bought EZDrummer, but I didn't check the compatibility list at toontracks first (my bad) so I can't drag and drop midi files into Cubase LE. So I am looking at purchasing Cubase 5 Essential, but I need to know if EZDrummer will work with it. I have searched the forums and can't find an answer so if anybody can tell me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

You might have already thought of this, but have you tried contacting Steinberg America support by e-mail and asking them?

I had Cubase LE and it did the same thing with EZdrummer. Now I have Cubase 5 (not essential) and I have no problem doing it. So I won't tell you 100% that it will work with Cubase 5 Essential, but it does work with Cubase 5.

PS- You will like 5 WAY more than LE

Before you spend your money google some more...

I read someone dragged the midi files from EZD to his desktop and then imported them into Cubase. A bit of a hassle, but it will get you going. Also, these EZD midi files need to reside somewhere. Try to find where, so you don't have to go around your desktop.

Also load EZD as an instrument, not as a plugin.

I have both Cubase Essential 5 with EZDRUmmer installed it works fine: on your LE version did you Open devices then click on VST instruments Hallion one and ezdrummer should show up click on ezdrummer and it will open inside cubase open the box and audition and select drum files and drag and drop them
