Default Cubase 4 for Tascam US-122L

Hi folks

I just bought the Tascam US-122L external sound card which comes with Cubase4 - I followed the instructions, the Tascam Drivers apparently load OK but I can't find the program anywhere. Cubase 4 loads into the CPU but then won't open. I was hot to trot too with a load of stuff to record.

Anyone familiar with this problem?

In on Windows XP, Windows Media config, on a HP, Intel Core with 2 Giga RAM and 200 Giga of space. Should do it.

Any comments would be appreciated. I won't be able to reciprocate with computer advice, but I've got a great recipe for lemon pie.

Best wishes

Strange. Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Cubase?

Yeah Brandon I did that several times. I finally unistalled it again and replaced it with a version of Cubase SX which, so far, is working OK. I assume that the failure to set up Cubase LE4 is due to the configuration of my PC - I'm going to call Steinberg anyway tomorrow and find out.

Thanks

I have the same setup, and had the same problem. You need to go to Control Panel/Sound/Audio and make sure that you enable the US-122L as your soundcard. You probably need to select the Properties for Mixer and Audio and say you want to use the Mixer and Audio properties of the interface, MIDI too.

You may also need to download the firmware updater and do that. It's very easy.

Once your system finds the interface, then Cubase should automatically find it. Then you need to go into Device Setup in Cubase and select the interface for your Ins/Outs/MIDI device.

Hope this helps!

Anyone know if US122 is same as US122L? I bought us122 about 5 years ago and I want to know if I can update to LE4 w/ my 122. Anyone?

Will it work? Yes.

Can you you find LE4 without having to buy something else? Good luck.

My cousin recently purchased the 144 (oem bundle w/ LE4). I am in business.

Are you saying LE4 is going to cause problems for me. I have heard many people are having tech issues with it. Is this what you mean by having to buy something else. Will I be better off sticking w/ LE 1.0.8?

Thanks
